Vineyard Irish Leaders' Gathering
In Dublin in 1993, a small group of Jesus followers gathered together to dream and pray about partnering with the transforming power of God’s love, and mercy for the City and Ireland, consequently the Vineyard on the Island of Ireland was born. Twenty five years later, our awareness of the incredible legacy we have inherited from these original dreamers, and many others from around the world, has stirred us to gather our growing Irish Vineyard family.
Our aim, is to celebrate and thank God for all He has done through us over the past twenty five years, and to pray and dream about what the next twenty five years might look like.
More importantly, the legacy we have inherited moves us to ask the questions -
What legacy are we creating? & What will it require from each of us?
With that in mind we are excited to be joined by an incredible group of leaders from our wider Vineyard family, coming to teach, equip, and encourage us to dream for the journey ahead. We believe that this will be a hugely significant time together, and we would love you to join us!
Introducing Our Speakers....
Jay & Danielle Pathak
Jay is the Lead Pastor of the Mile High Vineyard where he strategically guides the mission and vision of the church as a whole, is the main teaching pastor, and provides oversight to each of their planted neighborhood churches. He has spoken nationally and internationally for Vineyard and he is a member of Vineyard USA’s Executive Team. Jay co-wrote the book The Art of Neighboring with Dave Runyon. In their unique book, they dare to challenge us to wonder what would happen if every follower of Jesus took the Great Commandment literally, by loving our actual neighbours. Jay has a BA in Philosophy from The Ohio State University and is a graduate of the Vineyard Leadership Institute.
Danielle is the Spiritual Formation and Staff Pastor at Mile High Vineyard. Over the years, she has found a deep love and passion for introducing people to Jesus and also encouraging them to invest holistically in the health of their lives. In 2103, Danielle pursued training with Dave Nixon and completed the Vineyard's Denver School of Spiritual Direction. Now, in her vital role of Spiritual Formation Pastor, she oversees the growing staff and core leaders and has a love for seeing people grow and stretch in their lives with Jesus, helping them to reach "outside the box" in the ways they connect with God. The couple were married in 1998 and have two daughters, Jasmine and Sofia.
Steve began ministering as a college student through InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in the early 1970s. After graduation, in 1976 he moved to Evanston, Illinois, where he and several other twenty-something leaders founded a church. That fellowship, placed a high priority on contemporary worship, biblical teaching, openness to the Holy Spirit, and committed relationships as a church family. In 1981, Steve and a team established a new church in Chicago’s inner city, both churches joined the Vineyard USA in 1985. The Evanston Vineyard has since planted twenty-four churches in other cities or countries.
Steve led the Vineyard USA’s church planting task force for over twenty years, and has ministered to and trained church leaders in India, Australia, New Zealand, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Turkey, Lebanon, Brazil, Chile and several Central Asian countries as well as in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
