Soul Keeping:
Caring for the most important part of you
by John Ortberg

61+aXiUVelL.jpg

We live in a world that teaches us to be more concerned with the condition of our cars, or our careers, or our portfolios than the condition of our souls’.

Yet instinctively we know that there is something much deeper about life and living.
That there is the promise of life to the full’ in Jesus.

The issue is how to walk in that type of life, how to become the kind of person who experiences what Jesus promises – in our ordinary everyday life with its joys, trials, difficulties and blessings. This is the question Ortberg tries to answer in this book.

It is really helpful and practical and could be a next step for you on your spiritual journey.

Irish Vineyard Leaders’ Gathering

Irish Vineyard Leaders' Gathering

Last year we celebrated Twenty-Five years of the incredible legacy we have as Vineyard Churches on the island of Ireland. This year we are so excited to again gather to worship together, minister to one another, and dream and pray about partnering with the Holy Spirit to see our cities, towns, and villages impacted by the power and love of Jesus.

The legacy we have inherited moves us to ask

What legacy are we creating? & What will it require from each of us?

We will be joined by an incredible group of leaders and speakers who will inspire, challenge and equip us to dream and reach for more in our leadership and callings. We believe that this will be a hugely significant time together, and we would love for you to join us!

Introducing Our Speakers....

Jordan Seng

J-Seng-2-New-300.png

Dr. Jordan Seng is the lead pastor of Bluewater Mission, a creative, justice-oriented church in Honolulu, Hawaii, and the author of Miracle Work: A Down-to-Earth-Guide to Supernatural Ministries. He has ministered broadly through church-planting, teaching, healing and prophecy, and has led training conferences and seminars for every major Christian denomination and numerous para-church and missions organizations in America, Europe, Latin America, East Asia, South Asia and the Caribbean. Jordan holds a degree in political theory from Stanford University and a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, and was a National Security Fellow at the School of Government at Harvard. He and his wife, Sonya, have two teenage children.

Michelle Scott

M-Scott-New-300.png

Michelle Scott is Lead Pastor of Vineyard Church Dungannon which she and her husband Jason planted in 2004.  They lead a thriving outward focused church that impacts communities here, near and far.  They have 3 sons Caleb (22), Micah (20), and Matthew (19), who she loves fiercely.   Michelle has a deep passion to see people released into the fullness of life promised by Jesus.  She would say that she became a reluctant feminist in India where she witnessed first hand how a culture ingrained with misogyny mistreats women and girls.  She loves reading, Netflix and having a full table of people to cook for.

Tom Burke

Tom-Burke-New-300.png

Tom Burke is from the city of Cork.  Along with his wife Denise & 10 friends, Grace Christian Church was planted there in 1997. Today Grace Christian Church runs 8 main weekly services in their city centre facility which has a weekly attendance of over 900.  He & Denise live in the Irish speaking village of An Rinn on the Helvik peninsula & have 2 adult children, Dillon & Dara and one granddaughter, Darcy.

Andy Smith

Andy loves inviting people to know and follow Jesus, allowing him to form, and transform them. He is passionate about building community, and seeing everyone released into a life of impact and legacy as they build their lives around the transforming presence of Jesus. Andy is passionate about the city of Belfast, and seeing many healthy worshipping communities reproduced all over the island of Ireland.

Harmony Smith

Harmony-Smith-New-300.png

Harmony is a worshipper, songwriter and pastor whose heart is all about seeing people connect with Jesus in a lifestyle of worship. This passion is particularly clear in her songs, which can be found on several Vineyard UK & Ireland worship albums, including Creator, Spirit Burn, The Feast and most recently, Legacy – Live from Ireland. She is the Director of Worship for the Vineyard Movement in the UK & Ireland, and has responsibility for encouraging and growing worship leaders and worship in the movement. Baptism Service 14th April

Palm Sunday Baptism Service

@ the First Service on 14th April

Your decision to be baptised may be one of the most important decisions you will ever make as a follower of Jesus Christ. We believe that baptism is not for the purpose of joining the “local” church, rather it is an important event in one’s spiritual journey of becoming a follower of Christ. Jesus asked his followers to turn away from a life with out God and to be baptized into a new life in Jesus. Baptism is a powerful public statement of what you believe and is a deeply symbolic act of faith.

If you feel The Lord is calling you to be baptised then please register your interest by email through this link and we will inform you of the next step.

Impact: Developing the Prophetic

Impact will help you better understand the biblical gift of prophecy, hear more clearly from Father for yourself and others and give and receive prophetic words using biblical principles. It will lay biblical foundations for prophecy’s proper use, dispel it's more common misunderstandings, and reveal its practical potential to benefit our communities.

Our teacher and facilitator for the day is Mark Iles. Mark has been in prophetic ministry for over twenty-five years and has been leading and teaching on schools of prophecy and prophetic conferences, as well as mentoring the prophetic, most of that time. He currently works with churches in the UK and overseas on a relational basis providing strategic teaching, prophetic training, and mentoring support.

Mark & Julie have been married over 40 years, have four adult children and currently 6 Grandchildren. They are active members of Winchester Vineyard, and have both left their career jobs to build God's Kingdom."

Please join us for our Vineyard Kids Training day . We look forward to this event as it gives us a chance to connect . We are so happy to have some new team members who will be joining us on the training morning and would love to invite anyone who would be interested in getting involved in working on our team. This is also an open event.

It will be an action packed morning, backed by god's grace and fun community with one another.   I'm excited to see what our Heavenly Father will do through this day.

Come prepared for your hearts and minds to be refreshed and restore as on He can!

So remember it's Saturday, Nov 3rd, Starting at 10am for coffee and croissants. Then we'll get going at 10:15am and finish at 1:30pm.

We are starting a bit later to help people with free parking on the South Circular Road ( from 10am)  as the parking on the lane of the Vineyard Centre is now all yellow double lines.

We would ask that folks register to attend the morning so we can plan better for our day.  So a sign- up link will be sent out next week.

Copy of Vineyard Irish Leaders' Gathering - Legacy

Vineyard Irish Leaders' Gathering

In Dublin in 1993, a small group of Jesus followers gathered together to dream and pray about partnering with the transforming power of God’s love, and mercy for the City and Ireland, consequently the Vineyard on the Island of Ireland was born. Twenty five years later, our awareness of the incredible legacy we have inherited from these original dreamers, and many others from around the world, has stirred us to gather our growing Irish Vineyard family.

Our aim, is to celebrate and thank God for all He has done through us over the past twenty five years, and to pray and dream about what the next twenty five years might look like.

More importantly, the legacy we have inherited moves us to ask the questions -

What legacy are we creating? & What will it require from each of us?

With that in mind we are excited to be joined by an incredible group of leaders from our wider Vineyard family, coming to teach, equip, and encourage us to dream for the journey ahead. We believe that this will be a hugely significant time together, and we would love you to join us!

Introducing Our Speakers....

Jay & Danielle Pathak

Jay_2017.png
danielle2.png

Jay is the Lead Pastor of the Mile High Vineyard where he strategically guides the mission and vision of the church as a whole, is the main teaching pastor, and provides oversight to each of their planted neighborhood churches. He has spoken nationally and internationally for Vineyard and he is a member of Vineyard USA’s Executive Team. Jay co-wrote the book The Art of Neighboring with Dave Runyon. In their unique book, they dare to challenge us to wonder what would happen if every follower of Jesus took the Great Commandment literally, by loving our actual neighbours. Jay has a BA in Philosophy from The Ohio State University and is a graduate of the Vineyard Leadership Institute.

Danielle is the Spiritual Formation and Staff Pastor at Mile High Vineyard. Over the years, she has found a deep love and passion for introducing people to Jesus and also encouraging them to invest holistically in the health of their lives. In 2103, Danielle pursued training with Dave Nixon and completed the Vineyard's Denver School of Spiritual Direction. Now, in her vital role of Spiritual Formation Pastor, she oversees the growing staff and core leaders and has a love for seeing people grow and stretch in their lives with Jesus, helping them to reach "outside the box" in the ways they connect with God. The couple were married in 1998 and have two daughters, Jasmine and Sofia.

Steve Nicholson

Steve-Nicholsoncircle.png

Steve began ministering as a college student through InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in the early 1970s. After graduation, in 1976 he moved to Evanston, Illinois, where he and several other twenty-something leaders founded a church. That fellowship, placed a high priority on contemporary worship, biblical teaching, openness to the Holy Spirit, and committed relationships as a church family. In 1981, Steve and a team established a new church in Chicago’s inner city, both churches joined the Vineyard USA in 1985. The Evanston Vineyard has since planted twenty-four churches in other cities or countries.

Steve led the Vineyard USA’s church planting task force for over twenty years, and has ministered to and trained church leaders in India, Australia, New Zealand, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Turkey, Lebanon, Brazil, Chile and several Central Asian countries as well as in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Steve and Cindy, live in Chicago, and have three adult children.

John & Debby Wright

JohnWright.png
Debby-Wright.png

John & Debby are the National Directors of the Vineyard movement in the UK and Ireland, and have been serving together in pastoral ministry since 1990. John initially trained and worked for a number of years as a jeweller before studying at London Bible College. Debby lived in Chile until she was 13 and later moved to Nottingham to train as a dancer and artist.

They first got involved with the Vineyard movement in 1982 and in 1987 they spent 8 months as interns at Anaheim Vineyard (under John Wimber the leader of the Vineyard Movement in the USA). Following their time at Anaheim they returned to England to help John and Eleanor Mumford start the first UK Vineyard in London. They worked at South West London Vineyard for 9 years before moving back to Nottingham to set up Trent Vineyard, which they still lead.

They have two sons, Zack and Jordan, two daughters in law, Lizzie and Sarah, and grandson, Jesse.
