The Way of Jesus

“If you want to experience the life of Jesus you have to adopt the lifestyle of Jesus. Base your life on practising the way of Jesus.” (John Mark Comer)

Based on a series from Lectio 365, we will be studying Jesus’ practices and teachings in the Gospel of John by discussing the way Jesus - Loved God through prayer and creativity  - Loved others through justice and hospitality -  Loved the lost through mission and learning.

How can time with God be a source of peace in a loud and distracting world? In Beholding, spiritual director and poet Strahan Coleman invites readers to discover the joy of being with God rather than working for God. As they inhabit the art of resting in God’s presence, prayer becomes not just a place of seeking, but becoming.

Sean & Debbie are starting a new growth group in Firhouse Dublin 24.  We will start Monday nights, starting Oct 14.

The group will study Dallas Willard’s book ‘Renovation of the heart’.  We will cover how the various dimensions of the self (body, heart/spirit/will, mind, soul) work & how they can be transformed so that increasingly we are conformed to the image of Christ.  The group will encourage you, challenge you and inspire you on your journey of spiritual transformation.

Central to the success of the group is a commitment to have read & thought about the week’s chapter in advance to facilitate meaningful discussion.  The book can be bought link below.

Hope you can join us

Abba’s Child

By Brennan Manning

Join Mike and Sean as they work through the impactful book of Brendan Manning called Abbas's Child. The liberating message of this book is that God longs for us to know in the depths of our being that He loves and accepts us as we are. God is our "Abba", our loving father, who knows us far better than we know ourselves. The shocking revelation of Abba's Child is two-fold: that sin has a greater grip than we realize on our hearts, and that God loves us far more than we can imagine. You won't be disappointed.
